SOCAMALOO TODAY!

Kingston, Jamaica: - Red Stripe Bold in association with The Outlaws presents Socamaloo this Sunday, March 28th at the makeshift beach venue in corporate area of New Kingston. The event which will be a weekly staple in the soca-tainment series of events runs from March 28, 2010 until April 25, 2010 at the Keycard Village, 29 Trafalgar Road (formally the Super Plus Supermarket).

The team has pulled out all the stops by bringing soca and scenery together. After being delayed for two weeks, it’s finally ready with sand, decks, boats set around other attractions for patrons to jump and palance. Delano Thomas, CEO of Renaissance Disco and member of the Outlaws states, “It’s all about doing something different; by creating a venue and moreover, a beach setting in the city we’ve provided the patrons with an ultimate party environment in the season of soca”.

Patrons will be entertained by Resident DJs of Renaissance Disco and 3rd Dimension Music each week alongside special guest DJs. For the first staging, dubbed ‘Red Ants’, popular Fame DJ, Kurt Riley will participate in the day’s events. All patrons are asked to wear red. The following week, April 4, 2010 the Outlaws invite their supporters and soca lovers on a ‘Road Trip’ to Ocho Rios for the Easter Weekend parties.

But it’s back to Kingston on Carnival Day, April 11, 2010 where the public can experience ‘Live Wire’; the entertainment expands with live performances by surprise guest artistes from Trinidad and Jamaica. Sip on complimentary Johnny Walker and Red Stripe Bold all day, as a watch party is hosted in the secure and comfortable rest spot throughout the road march that passes by twice before entering Mas Camp. The soca does not end there as for the following Sunday, it’s time to ‘Masquerade’ with Coppershot and then for finale on April 25th the patrons can enjoy ‘Soca Fusion’ with guest DJs ZJ Liquid and Mix Master MC.
